Presented by ISBN Ed.
and Vice Magazine, this afternoon is dedicate to the growing phenomenon of rock music in Islam countries. In the last decades rock music is changing
the way young people live in Islamic countries from Morocco to Iraq, attracting large groups of
people during festival, concerts and private events.
Despite the deep control by local authorities and against hundred of religious laws, a rock’n roll way of living seems the best way to link western countries to the youngest generation of the big Islam.
Trough a film documentary on a metal band growing in Baghdad during recent wars and the diary by Mark LeVine on main rock scenes, this will be a way to think at a different Islam.
